Tobacco Road Futurity Cutting Horse Show

September 20th & 21st
Walking Racking Fall Horse Show

The VA Walking Racking Horse Owner's Association (VWRHOA) will be hosting their event at the Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex in Chatham, VA on Sept 20th and 21st.

The show will run 6:00pm to roughly 11pm on Friday. Saturday's show will begin at 4:00pm and end roughly at 11pm.

The Virginia Walking Ranking Horse Owner's Associations offers a two day horse show promoting the Walking, Plantation, Racking, Pleasure and Spotted Horses. We offer adult and youth classes! Join us for a family friendly event!

Dates: September 20th (6:00pm start) & 21st (4:00pm start) 
Admission: $6/person; Children ages 11 and under enter free
Food Truck Onsite: Enjoy delicious food and beverages throughout the entire event.

SOVA Career ChoICE Youth Expo

ODAC is proud to sponsor the Career ChoICE Youth Expo, an event designed to inspire and empower area youth as they explore their future career possibilities.

 

Career ChoICE connects students with local employers through virtual resources and hands-on activities, showcasing the many job opportunities available in our region.

 

This event helps students gain a clear understanding of the skills, education, and salaries associated with various careers, fostering a pipeline of future talent aligned with our region's economic development goals.

October 11th & 12th
Four Beats For Pleasure - Gaited Horse Show

Join us for the Four Beats for Pleasure Fall Classic, a fantastic horse show hosted by the Carolina Gaited Horse Association! This two-day event will take place on Friday and Saturday, October 11th & 12th.

 

Event Highlights:

- The show kicks off at 6 PM on Friday with more exciting events to follow on Saturday. Stay tuned for the full time schedule as we get closer to the date!
- Food Truck Onsite: Enjoy delicious food, snacks, and beverages from Just J'licious by Jeff Belton throughout the event.
- Casual Dress Attire is encouraged, making it a relaxed and enjoyable experience for everyone.
- This show is affiliated with WHOA.​

Virginia High School Rodeo

Get Ready for the Virginia High School Rodeo Showdown! 

​

Saddle up and prepare for an unforgettable weekend of high-energy rodeo action as high school students from across Virginia and North Carolina converge at the Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex in Chatham, VA!

 

From October 18th to 20th, witness these talented young cowboys and cowgirls showcase their grit, skill, and determination in a series of thrilling events.

​

Event Details:

- Dates: October 18th - 20th (friday & saturday shows beginning 6pm)

- Tickets: $5 per person, per day (wristbands available for purchase at the door)
- While we don’t have the detailed event schedule or start time for the main event just yet, we encourage you to check back on our Facebook page or website as the event approaches for more information.

Schedule:

Friday:
- 6:00 PM HS 1st Go Performance
- HS 1st Go Slack (Barrels, Poles, Goats) immediately after performance


Saturday:
- 10:00 AM Maverick and Peewee Performance (1st go)
- JH Performance (1st go) will immediately follow the Mavericks Rodeo no sooner than 10:30 a.m.
- 6:00 PM HS 2nd Go Performance
- HS 2nd Go Slack (Barrels Poles, Goats) immediately after performance
- HS awards at the completion of Saturday night performance and slack


Sunday: 
- 8:00 AM Sunday School
- 8:30 AM Church Service
- 10:00 AM Maverick and Peewee Performance (2nd go) - Maverick and Peewee Awards immediately following 
performance.
- JH Performance (2nd go) will immediately follow the Maverick Rodeo no sooner than 10:30 a.m. - JH awards 
immediately following performance.

 

So, dust off your cowboy hats, gather your crew, and join us for three days of action-packed rodeo entertainment. This is one showdown you won’t want to miss!

Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Department Trunk or Treat

The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is excited to host its 15th Annual Trunk or Treat at the Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex on October 26th from 4 PM to 7 PM. This family-friendly Halloween event promises a safe and fun-filled evening with hot dogs, drinks, contests, music, and plenty of treats!

  • Time: 4 PM - 7 PM

  • Location: Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex, Main Arena

  • Admission: FREE (Rain or Shine!)

Volunteer Opportunity: We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help decorate and distribute treats. We welcome participation from businesses, fire/rescue teams, churches, civic organizations, and individuals. If you're interested in joining us, please contact us to reserve your spot.

Danville Kennel Club Agility Trials

Join us at ODAC for the Danville Kennel Club Agility Trials, a must-attend event for dog lovers! Taking place from November 22 through 24, this exciting and free event showcases a wide variety of dog breeds as they navigate through challenging agility courses. Watch as these talented dogs demonstrate their speed, precision, and teamwork in a series of thrilling competitions.

​

The event begins at 8 AM each day and usually concludes around 4 PM, though it may wrap up earlier, so we recommend arriving earlier to catch all the action. Sunday will usually conclude around lunchtime. A food truck will also be on-site for the duration of the event.

​

Please note that only dogs participating in the agility trials are allowed on-site—no additional pets are permitted.

​
